Literature Text

my ego, existence, and eternity rests on your whim
Are you worthy of this knowledge?
Have you the appetite to gorge from my tree of good and evil?
Can you feel how empty, or taste how hungry i am?

i'll give you distance and half a chance,
but take care not to draw my eye or bait my tongue
i'll eat you while you still breathe
and you'll never get enough
because you'll never be enough

When i see you're on the bargain menu,
i lose my appetite
i want what you can neither afford nor offer,
so i'll starve
i'll talk to you, toy with you, smother you;
because i can
and so i'll never be yours

Can you please note me the exact point of this poem in a note? Not as if I'm in doubt about the theme in it and that I do not have an interpretation of it.
I want it from the authors view and I wont ruin it for those reading.
I wont tell you why yet, I can say as much that you'll love why ;)
I'll tell you why in the note when I've got it :D
