Literature Text

I am being led down these roads
I simply have to trust my guide,
even as my breath falls to the ground
Satellite comfort zones are disappearing
one by one
Love lies on the roadside
waiting to be picked up

I am consistently lost
One day I will be found
by a backhoe and a headstone
So get in your cars
and make your way home
It's time to hang up our hats
and lay down our bones

There has always been a tradition in the States of "the road" and the freedom of the open highway. This has that spirit within it. Love the final two lines and intrigued by the phrase "Satellite comfort zones"..it is not only the individual who feels the urge to move on..a lot of the time the world seems to move on in directions we can not control, I guess, and we are called upon to adapt one way or the other.
