Where Light is SwallowedI only step out when no one is coming home
The sun sets, and drags the veil from my eyes
I sink just below your searching lights

There is a heaven in this night
that evacuates my mind into the world around me
Where I'm going, there will be no stopping
I'll glance over my shoulder,
then I'll disappear

AcquaintanceBeauty makes life sufferable
The only beauty I can hold is fantasy
My eyes are veiled with the shades of your skin
My dreams linger on you
Do you want them to?
Did you hear my music
passing by your ear?
Your song has sweetened my mind for so long,
I don't know what else to listen to

The Doll with Moth Wings

The day's sun was iron
The night's moon is cotton
Wipe the sleep from your eyes, love,
but not from your voice
Let me hear the peace exempt from the day
Tell me...
Did you get out of the rain
before the dust washed off your wings?

SheSo intoxicating is the scent of a woman,
its effect cannot be forgotten
Should she come close enough to touch,
every new chance is like the first
Her touch screams
Her kiss rakes through my every dream
Her movement drives me

Frozen Concentrate [Poems No.4] - Chapter 10: Sunlight Framework

InfluxThe patient curves of your skin
soften my sandpaper fingertips
I taste your dopamine
it releases my own
We stop the clocks
we fill every space
for the rest of time
The 'me' that believes in 'always'
well, he may breathe still
I think I felt his pulse
inside of you
Worry not,
my sweetest thing my wondrous creature my goddess
I won't rest until every inch of you responds
to my every touch
We can burn the midnight lamp
until the sun kisses your eyes

The Bare ExhibitMy cape and costume fade fast,
revealing all that falls beneath
I am barren before you
with much to love and doubt
The cruel lights label my tiniest flaws
The mirror speaks a language
I don't want to hear

PauseJust before the sound stopped,
the light stood still
Out of the crowd, I found you
I am no part of them
You are the apple of my eye
Would you leave with me?

A purposed look over your shoulder
confirms that you could be mine
Read in my eyes what you will
the rest of me is out of print
My time isn't worth much
Have you a penny to spare?

Pretty HuskVanity flaunts and wishes you to see
She wants your attention,
be it in love or disgust

Vanity grins at your glance
She scoffs at your smile
Nothing fills her empty glass,
so she dresses up and spends her cash

Her eyes linger where they should not
Envy invades quickly and harshly
She's found another thing she can't sleep without

Evil is inviting
She's enticed to do dirty things in filthy places
with petty people with pretty faces

She needs to look away from what she desires,
for all the world consumed would not quench her

Meet Me in GloamingI enter your day
The sun beats down one last flare,
then dives for the horizon

You enter my night
The earth shakes and the stars shudder
Somewhere, the new moon hides
from the light of your honey-brown eyes

Darling, be a moth for me
Overlook my flame
Love me for my light

Frozen Concentrate [Poems No.4] - Chapter 10: Sunlight Framework

The Torturing DreamSoft... her skin. He knew it would be before he even knew her name.
Silent... the breath he can't catch after his gasp when she said 'Hello gorgeous. Let's go make some trouble.'
Soft... the sheets on the bed in a room he'd never seen, but was happy to be inhabiting.
Silent... the arch of her back and the tears on her face, oxytocin induced...

Hard... the concrete he sees when he awakes from the dream
Cold... the skin on his chest where she laid her head seconds before
Hard... the sound of him lighting a cigarette in the quiet room
Cold... his breath when he exhales the first drag of another day

Welcome HomeMy shadow is cast in all directions
The lights shine brighter for me
My footfalls are hard on the pavement
I will not be stopped

I chased Death out the door
and under the pallor of the night sky,
she worked her way into my chest
Her fingers ventured forth
with the warmth to melt my iron doors

Now I smoke a cigarette in the bone yard
I sit here waiting, praying
for someone to lie by my side
The wind moans like a lover in my ear
It whispers 'come back to me'

Walk with me through my haunted places
If we grow a shadow, it'll soon disappear
I can show you beauty,
if you follow longer than fear allows
The smaller lights cast a gre

Get GoneI don't know what I want,
but I want it all right now
I don't want to go anywhere
I just have this need to leave
I want you to come with me
Bring what you have, or bring empty hands
I don't mind
Just bring yourself, the rest we can find

A Soul's Offering

Dark begat light
I was here before you
I will be long after

When I shed these bones,
the roots will drink me up
your lungs will breathe me in
my lightning will fill the sky

Oceans of blood, mountains of bone
Cliffs of teeth, soil of flesh
Trees of hair, clouds of mind
This is what I will be
when I return to dust

Heaven will fill my head
with the spark of the sun, moon, and stars

To Lie in the Lake BedTide, wash me a sail ashore
Something or someone to ship me out
and lay me down in the bottom
From the cool mud of this bed,
I could watch the sun beam down
without fear
With only the love of memory,
the rest of a dead future,
and the undertow's cold embrace

Nocturne

Now arrive the meaner things
Light and youth grow dark and old
The moon has retired
under the horizon's chilling blanket
Tree shadows grow long and soon envelop
In the shadows between the trees,
you'll find me
I see night differently
A rich joy showers from the sky,
backlit by the blackest pitch

that she's put in her rearview mirror
I've been the way there and back again
Now I have no way out

The only lovers that know my lips
are the vices I can't stop clinging to
We all take our medicine
then creep home under the radar

I'm just killin' time
until time kills me
